Main Responsibilities:
- Generate incoming orders for parts, goods, and products in the enterprise management system (Vision) based on existing contracts.
- Proactively and closely manage all purchasing follow-ups with suppliers, and review and communicate any changes to initial lead times to internal partners.
- Coordinate delivery schedules for all shipments from suppliers by conducting rigorous tracking and tracing of ongoing orders.
- Ensure accurate control of inventory movements with the dual objective of minimizing costs, reducing delivery times, and optimizing warehouse space.
- Proactively follow up on all purchase orders and maintain a high level of performance regarding the following aspects: lead time, vendor fill rate, backorders, etc.
- Continuously monitor various activities in Great Plains such as shipping guarantees, claims, etc.
- Maintain all types of purchasing conditions with rigor: compensation, promotions, lead time, payment terms, etc.
- Remain aware of cost-management impacts: minimize inventory losses, storage delays, and unnecessary warehouse labor movements by managing the inventory system in an organized and rigorous manner.
- Act as an agent of change: improve and simplify existing processes to increase role impact and effectively support the team; question the relevance of internal methods used, commonly distributed statistical reports, recurring analyses, and correct any deficiencies when needed.
- Monitor supplier performance and quality through quality indicators and implement necessary action plans in case of deviations.
- Document any necessary changes and maintain communication with the immediate supervisor.
- Perform any other related tasks or relevant projects.

Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the distribution industry.
- Relevant experience in the automotive aftermarket.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Bilingual (French and English) is required, both written and spoken. You will communicate daily with colleagues across English-speaking Canada.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced to Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
