Salary Range: $46.63 Hourly


We’re looking for a safety-driven Distribution Operator to support our Burrard Terminal Operations Team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of product handling, equipment monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll contribute to a strong safety culture while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Minimum Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in railcar, truck, pipeline or marine liquid product handling

  • Experience handling and testing liquid fuels as well as completion of a trade ticket preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Citect and Toptech

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) along with safety driven decision making mindset to help build strong relationships with diver groups

  • Your 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineer Certification and Petroleum Mechanic (PM3) through the Technical Standards & Safety Authority – TSSA

  • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

Responsibilities:

  • Manage fuel material by receiving product into tanks via rail, pipeline and marine vessels, transferring product from tank to tank, and draining and preparing equipment for maintenance

  • Hook up and offload railcars and accurately complete documentation as required

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment

  • Conduct sampling and testing as per the schedule or when required due to quality issues

  • Monitor equipment conditions regularly and address any deviations in a timely manner

  • Issue or authorize work permits in accordance with our standards

  • Maintain and exchange a detailed account of the day’s activities and actions taken to mitigate risks and to ensure optimal shift transitions

  • Participate in emergency situations including fires and spills as required

  • Maintain competencies of new procedures or relevant changes to the manuals and documentation, and ensure regulatory training and certifications are up to date 

Location and key details:

  • You will work out of our Burrard Products terminal office located at 1155 Glenayre Drive, Port Moody, British Columbia

  • This is a permanent part-time position with the potential to be a full-time role in the future

  • The shift schedule may vary and could be an eight, ten or 12-hour shift with the potential of working up to 40 hours per week based on business unit needs; flexibility required

  • This position is eligible for overtime

  • This position is safety sensitive
