Job Summary:
The Distribution Operations Supervisor oversees safety and training at our multiple facilities. The supervisor will be the safety expert who ensures the company complies with OSHA and other Government entities.
The role will be deeply involved in SAP, Training, Safety, Procedure creation / development, Document Control improvements and other tasks that involve operational improvement opportunities. This role will require cross-functional work and the ability to create and present well thought out plans, training small or large groups.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Safety/Compliance
- Monitor progress against Safety Training for Distribution Operations
- Assigns Safety training after any incident or as required by OSHA regulations
- Establish a program for auditing and perform Safety Audits at Distribution locations, and other areas as required, along with Site Leadership
- Work with Supervisors to ensure follow up on Safety items through completion
- Establish Safety KPIs around incidents, RIR and LTR for each location
- Track and monitor actions related to Safety audits, reporting results to the Ops Leadership
- Act as the main safety Resource during all safety incident investigations in Operations
- Lead Safety and Security inspections by insurance carriers for each location
Security
- Lead and control the security badge access program
SAP
- Obtain proficiency in all levels of SAP as it relates to Distribution Operations
- Conduct training sessions on SAP related items, through implementation and after
- Work with IT to set up all new employees in JDE and SAP (including RF Guns, as necessary)
- Be the Site support “Key User” for troubleshooting, etc. and programming as necessary within the confines of system design
Training and Documentation
- Maintain up to date files and documentation at all times for all forklift Operators, ensuring requirements of OSHA 1910.178 are met
- Conduct safety-related training and orientation sessions with all new hires
- Establish a document control program that encompasses numbering, creation, periodic review, alteration and archiving out of date documents
- Lead document / procedure review efforts
- Implement and maintain a cross functional training program for both Warehouse and Drivers
- Conduct training audits to ensure compliance to documented training program
Other
- This position has travel requirements of less than 20% and will be required to work as needed to ensure we achieve goals.

Job Qualifications:
- 2 years or more experience in a Safety and Compliance roles
- Working knowledge of applicable OSHA Regulations
- SAP Experience is desired, preferably in a warehouse management or other roles.
- Experience with Training programs, to include online platform
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills are a must

Education:
High School diploma or bachelor’s degree preferred or experience equivalent.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environment:
- Approximately 100% of the time performing job duties is spent indoors in a warehouse with limited heating or air conditioning.
- Approximately 75% of the time is spent on the computer.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The temperature of the work environment can be equal to the outside temperatures of the area.
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally lift from overhead or below the waist.
- Occasionally bend, twist, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl and kneel.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stand and walk; grasp with hands and fingers; and lift (up to 50 lbs.).
- Continuously sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Machines, Tools and Equipment
- Continuously use copier, fax, printers, and 10-key calculator.
- Continuously use writing instruments, computer and telephone.
