• Operate commercial postal trucks safely between regional facilities and local post offices
• Oversee or assist with the loading and unloading of bulk mail containers and pallets
• Verify shipping manifests and cargo counts before departing facility loading docks
• Inspect transport vehicles daily, logging pre-trip and post-trip safety checks
• Maintain digital communication with dispatchers regarding route progress and arrival times
• Adhere strictly to federal transport regulations, speed limits, and safety standards
Necessary Abilities and Qualifications:
• Valid state driver's license (Commercial Driver's License CDL Class A or B preferred depending on vehicle class)
• Clean driving record demonstrating a history of safe vehicle operation
• Physical capability to assist with loading/unloading heavy rolling containers
• Strong time management and route schedule adherence
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior commercial driving, fleet transport, or freight distribution experience
• Familiarity with air-brake systems, loading dock procedures, and transport logs
