Role and Responsibilities:
As a Distribution Center Worker, your main focus will be overseeing the efficient flow of materials in the warehouse, with a focus on inventory management, order fulfillment, and improving overall workflow while adhering to safety standards.
• Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming goods and materials.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track materials using warehouse management systems.
• Assist with loading and unloading shipments to ensure smooth and efficient delivery schedules.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse processes and boost efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or distribution.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and report generation.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and handle labor-intensive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Forklift certification or experience with material handling equipment.
• Experience in fast-paced environments, particularly in manufacturing or the snack food industry.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory software.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Hourly wage between $16 to $35, depending on experience and qualifications (based on a 40-hour workweek).
