Role and Responsibilities:
The Distribution Center Material Handler is responsible for organizing, managing, and storing inventory effectively to guarantee accurate records and readiness for shipment. This role involves close collaboration with logistics teams to maintain efficient warehouse workflows and achieve daily operational goals. Success requires attention to detail, teamwork, and active participation in physical warehouse tasks to sustain productivity and safety.
• Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming products to ensure accurate inventory tracking
• Pick, pack, and stage items for shipment in line with company procedures
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas following safety guidelines
• Verify inventory quantities and update warehouse management systems regularly
• Collaborate with colleagues to prioritize workload and meet production timelines
• Report equipment malfunctions, product damage, or inventory inconsistencies promptly to supervisors
Required Skills and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement
• At least one year of experience in warehouse operations or material handling preferred
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely
• Basic computer literacy and experience with warehouse management systems
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that involve standing, bending, or reaching for extended periods
• Commitment to upholding workplace safety and following standard operating procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification or prior experience in forklift operation or handling heavy warehouse machinery
• Experience in a fast-paced production or distribution environment
• Knowledge of inventory tracking software and scanning technologies
