Key Responsibilities
Bulk Operations Support: Help in handling damaged merchandise and returning misplaced cases to their correct pick locations to aid Order Fillers in upholding high-quality standards. Equipment Operation: Securely manage P.I.T. (Power Industrial Truck) machinery. Perform daily safety assessments and alert maintenance or management of any issues. Process Improvement: Unpack bulk shipments and rotate cases to ensure barcodes are accurately displayed for efficient sorting. Facility Maintenance: Keep the workspace organized and carry out regular cleaning tasks to facilitate a swift transition for the succeeding shift. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols, wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and promote a secure work environment within the Bulk department.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Lack of prior experience or formal education is acceptable as we provide training on the job. Physical Capacity: Ability to frequently lift and relocate items up to 50 lbs and occasionally handle objects up to 80 lbs. Comfortable with regular walking, standing, bending, and kneeling throughout the work shift. Reliability: Consistency, dependability, and willingness to work additional hours on weekends and holidays when needed. Communication: Capability to communicate effectively with co-workers and the management team.
Working Conditions
The workplace is a non-climate controlled warehouse, meaning that the indoor temperatures are influenced by the outside weather conditions and managed using fans and heaters. At times, employees may be required to work in confined spaces or face exposure to airborne particles in adherence to OSHA standards.
