The Role: The Distribution Administrator is responsible for coordinating and managing shipping activities within a distribution center or warehouse environment. This role ensures accurate and timely shipment processing, maintains shipping documentation, communicates with carriers and internal teams, and supports efficient distribution operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities Your Impact: Coordinate daily outbound and inbound shipping activities. Prepare and process shipping documentation, including shipping labels, packing slips, and customs paperwork when required. Schedule pickups and deliveries with transportation providers and carriers. Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delivery issues or delays. Maintain accurate shipping records and update transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or ERP systems. Verify shipment accuracy, including quantities, destinations, and carrier requirements. Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment. Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety standards. Required Skills and Qualifications What You Bring: Experience in a distribution center, manufacturing, or supply chain environment. Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations. Familiarity with freight auditing and carrier performance management. Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar business systems Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. What We Need: High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of shipping, logistics, distribution, or warehouse administration experience preferred. Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, freight carriers, and transportation documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience using ERP, WMS, or transportation management systems. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
