Dispatching Assistant for a NEMT company

Overview We are seeking a Dispatching Assistant to support daily transportation operations and help coordinate reliable rides for passengers. Your impact: Clear, timely dispatch coordination helps passengers reach their destinations and gives drivers the information they need to serve them. Responsibilities Coordinate trip assignments and updates using dispatch tools, GPS (Global Positioning System), and vehicle dispatch software. Manage multi-line phone systems, handle calls with professional phone etiquette, and provide responsive customer service. Enter and maintain trip, vehicle, and driver information; support internal communication and accurate records. Assist with transportation planning, fleet management, and road transportation operations, applying logistics and supply chain awareness. Review schedules and operational data, using analysis and organizational skills to address dispatch needs; follow applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Experience Strong communication, phone communication, typing, data entry, and organizational skills are essential. Familiarity with transportation management systems and dispatching is preferred; experience with freight or transportation management is also useful. Microsoft Office proficiency is preferred. Exposure to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Oracle Transportation Management, or SyteLine is an asset. Experience with GPS, vehicle dispatch software, or fleet management tools is helpful; comparable systems experience is welcome. Pay: From $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week Work Location: In person
