Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator

Overview As a Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator, you’ll keep transportation activity organized and moving. You’ll coordinate vehicle dispatch, track shipments, manage phone calls, and share timely updates with drivers, customers, and internal teams. You will run the day the route, customers, and trucks. Your impact: By coordinating dispatch and communicating changes clearly, you help drivers stay informed, and customers receive dependable service. What you will do Build and dispatch the daily routes in our routing software; Be the voice between drivers, the office and customers: check drivers in and out, confirm service, chase missed stops, schedule with the office team. Keep the paper straight: driver vehicle inspection reports, DOT files, dump tickets and tonnage, container inventory, end-of-day closeout. Work with our mechanic on truck availability and with the office on billing questions that come off the route. Learn the yard, the routes and the customers Qualifications 2 or more years of dispatching or coordinating in waste, trucking or logistics. Waste is a plus; roll-off is a bigger plus. Calm on the phone when four things go wrong at once. Organized, early, reliable. Ability to manage competing requests, maintain accurate records, and communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and colleagues. Familiarity with GPS, GIS, transportation management systems, vehicle dispatch software, or Oracle Transportation Management is preferred. Clean driving record. A Class B CDL is a plus and pays more; it is not required. Spanish is a plus. Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Work Location: In person
