Dispatcher - North Salt Lake, UT

Position Description: This position involves dispatch responsibilities such as; ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to customers, Hours of Service compliance, servicing the needs and requirements of our customers, as well as finding loads for available trucks when necessary. Essential Duties: · Dispatch an assigned area, ensuring on-time service and while maintaining timely data integrity. · Route, supervise and monitor deliveries to customers. · Provide excellent customer service to those customers in your assigned dispatch area. · Maintain “Excellent” customer service quality rating. · Work with other staff members concerning “on call” responsibilities which will require a rotation working some weekends. Employment Requirements: · A minimum of a High School Diploma of GED is required. · Must be able to provide supervision to company drivers. · A minimum of one-year experience in the trucking industry. · Must be able to pass drug screen. · Maintain an organized workspace and complete tasks according to schedule. · Strong multi-tasking skills required in a challenging environment. · Strong geographic regional knowledge is beneficial. · Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. · Must work well with others and promote unity within the dispatch staff. · Critical thinking skills are essential. · Punctuality and attention to details must be observed. · Courteous manners with the public are necessary. · Must be comfortable and effective using a computer. · Experience using McLeod software is highly desirable. Working Conditions: · This position is frequently exposed to a regular flow of people around the office. · This is a challenging environment with many activities going on at once. · This is a Mon – Fri position that rotates weekend and evening phone coverage. · This is a salaried position that is eligible for bonuses based on the performance of the company. · The job is based in North Salt Lake, UT.
