Kothe & AsspocatesJob Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation operations within our logistics team with a roster of 20-30 regional dry van drivers. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, optimize routes, and ensure timely delivery by utilizing advanced transportation management systems and analysis skills. This role requires excellent communication, phone etiquette, and data entry abilities to facilitate seamless dispatching processes across multiple platforms. The Dispatcher will play a vital role in maintaining efficient fleet management and supporting supply chain operations. Duties Work with Penske 3PL on a dedicated account with Owner/Operators and company drivers. Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Alvys and Samsara. Utilize GIS and GPS tools to plan optimal routes, monitor vehicle locations, and ensure on-time deliveries. Manage dispatching for fleet vehicles, including tracking shipments via multi-line phone systems and transportation planning software. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams to relay instructions, updates, and resolve issues promptly. Oversee driver processes, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation for all freight movements. Analyze transportation data to identify efficiencies, troubleshoot delays, and improve overall dispatch operations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during all dispatching activities. Requirements Proven experience with transportation management systems. Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, logistics, supply chain management, and transportation planning. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data for operational improvements. Proficiency in data entry and managing multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette. Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with drivers, clients, and internal teams. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with freight management, shipping & receiving processes, fleet management, and 3PL coordination is preferred.
