Dispatcher

Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing the transportation of goods and materials. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Duties: - Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods - Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements - Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor progress - Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and customers to provide updates and resolve issues - Collaborate with supply chain partners to optimize routes and minimize costs - Manage fleet resources, including vehicle assignments and maintenance schedules - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies - Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently Requirements: - Previous experience in dispatching or transportation planning preferred - Familiarity with supply chain operations and logistics concepts - Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS technology - Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment - Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry - Knowledge of phone systems for effective communication with drivers and stakeholders - Experience with SyteLine or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus Note: All positions at our company are paid positions.
