Summary: The Dispatcher plays a crucial role within our team, reporting to the Operations Manager. This position is responsible for effectively working with the driver force to ensure the successful execution of planned routes. A minimum of 2 years dispatch experience is required. Key Responsibilities: · Receive and prioritize incoming calls from customers and drivers · Coordinate and schedule transportation services · Communicate with drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods · Track shipments and update customers on delivery status · Maintain accurate records of all dispatching activities · Process/input customer orders and work orders · Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or complaints · Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations · Utilize transportation management systems to optimize routes and maximize efficiency Competencies: Strong Communication Skills: · Proficient in written and verbal English communication. · Ability to build positive working relationships with drivers, clients, and vendors. · Works well independently and collaborates effectively within a team. · Be detail oriented and display imitative to complete tasks without supervision. Computer Skills: · Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. · Ability to learn and use company-specific and monitoring programs, with experience in Transportation/Tracking software being an asset. · Excellent administrative, organization, and time management skills. Work Schedule: · Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM · Weekly rotating on-call shifts occur, with a $250.00 bonus payment. · Full time, permanent position.
