Dispatcher/Delivery Manager

Eastside Lumber and Decking is single location business, and we take pride in our customer first approach to the Lumber industry. We have a strong team and are looking for a new team member to help service our growing customer base. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES You work as the primary link between our drivers and our sales team. The majority of the workload includes scheduling deliveries when the sales team gives you an order, informing the yard manager of any new delivery for the day, monitoring our Samsara dispatching system for drivers that are coming back, Informing the yard manager what delivery is for which driver, and confirming the materials on the truck are correct when the truck is loaded. You will also monitor and manage driver schedules, Truck maintenance, Forklift Maintenance and driver meetings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least 1 year of experience in Dispatching COMPETENCIES Ability to Multitask and not get overwhelmed when workload increases Ability to Manage your time and stay ahead of your work Ability to Plan and Schedule deliveries without over committing Ability To adapt the plan you have when you face controversy Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week Benefits: Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Parental leave Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Dispatching: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
