Dispatcher

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely delivery and efficient operations. This role is vital in maintaining smooth shipping and receiving processes, supporting our commitment to excellent service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as SyteLine and AS400. Manage shipping & receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of goods. Communicate with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette. Enter data accurately into relevant systems, maintaining detailed records of shipments, deliveries, and related activities. Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the supply chain. Oversee freight operations, including tracking shipments, resolving issues promptly, and updating relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with 3PL providers to coordinate third-party logistics services effectively. Monitor transportation schedules to ensure compliance with delivery deadlines and safety standards. Assist in shipping & receiving functions as needed, supporting inventory accuracy and warehouse operations. Skills Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems such as SyteLine, AS400, and other logistics software. Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures. Experience working with 3PL providers and managing freight logistics. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficient in typing and handling multi-line phone systems. Analytical skills to interpret logistics data for operational improvements. Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette for liaising with drivers, clients, and team members. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with shipping documentation, freight regulations, and warehouse operations is preferred.
