Dispatcher Zehr Transport is a family owned and operated business located in Ingersoll, Ontario. The business has been in the transportation, warehousing, and specialized packaging business for over 40 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our growing business. Description We are seeking an organized and experienced Dispatcher to coordinate trucking routes and all shipments within Ontario. The successful candidate for this full-time position needs to be able to adjust to last minute changes and be able to work with customers and drivers to schedule urgent deliveries when needed. Experience in the agricultural industry is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate with drivers and customers to schedule all orders. Handles all incoming and outgoing orders, directs drivers, and resolves delivery issues as they arise. Schedule vehicle and equipment service and ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies and MOT regulations. Distribute, collect and review paperwork for completion, accuracy, and data entry. Ensure coordination with other departments, clarifying roles and responsibilities for resolving service issues. Fields incoming calls / emails from customers. Trouble shoots and resolves potential delivery and pickup problems before they result in service issues. Record and document information from drivers and share with appropriate team member. Communicates with maintenance shop staff. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally via email and telephone. Prepares and coordinates paperwork as required. Qualifications & Job Requirements: Two (2) years of Dispatcher experience in the transportation industry or feed mill preferred. Knowledge of vehicle and equipment systems. Strong Knowledge of Highway Traffic Act, Ministry of Transportation regulations, Hours of Service required. Strong customer service skills. Experience with electronic logs, and routing software is considered an asset. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines.
