Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative

Be the person who makes the whole day work. When a customer's heat or air goes out, you are the first voice they hear and the reason a technician shows up on time. Myers Comfort Specialists is adding a dispatcher to our Pelham office. Why Myers We are a family-owned heating and air company that has served Central Alabama since 2000. Our office, warehouse, and field team work out of one building in Pelham, so you sit a few steps from the people you schedule. You will work alongside our Dispatch Supervisor and service leadership, with training on our scheduling and customer systems. The role You keep the day moving. Within a few months you will know our customers, our technicians, and our service area well enough to keep the schedule full, the drive time short, and the phones answered. It is a fast-paced seat: summer and winter bring busy phone lines and a schedule that changes by the hour. What you'll do Answer customer calls and book service, maintenance, and installation visits Build and adjust the daily schedule for our technicians and installers in our dispatch software Keep customers updated on arrival times and changes Keep customer records accurate and current Coordinate with technicians, the warehouse, and service managers so every job has what it needs What we're looking for Customer service experience Experience answering a multi-line phone Basic computer skills: typing, email, and data entry Good knowledge of the Birmingham area Nice to have Dispatching or scheduling experience HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other home-services experience Experience with dispatch or field-service software Pay and benefits $17 to $25 an hour to start, with the opportunity to earn much more with experience Commission on top of your hourly pay BCBS medical, dental, and vision insurance, available after 90 days 401(k) with a 3% company match FSA options Vacation that starts accruing on day one and is usable after 90 days Paid holidays Employee discounts and referral bonuses Schedule Full-time, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
