Job Title: Dispatcher Reports To: Director of Operations FLSA Status : Non-Exempt Status : Full-time Department: NECO Petroleum Location: Remote in U.S. Job Summary The Dispatcher supports safe, efficient, and timely petroleum delivery operations by providing daily pricing information to customers, forecasting customer orders, dispatching orders to NECO Transport Drivers and carriers, and maintaining accurate delivery and billing information. This role requires professional communication, strong attention to detail, effective problem solving, and collaboration with drivers, customers, vendors, managers, and internal departments to support reliable service and operational success. Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to) Pricing, Billing, and Customer Support Deliver accurate daily pricing to customers five to six days per week and no later than 10:00 a.m. Communicate with the Director, Supply & Optimization regarding preferred supply loading points, driver dispatch needs, and border-crossing coordination. Understand and appropriately apply the company’s pricing systems, processes, and policies. Gather bills of lading information for deliveries, verify accuracy, enter required information into the billing system, and ensure all deliveries are completed in the dispatch system using accurate information from NECO drivers or carriers. Resolve customer concerns professionally by phone or email, including service issues and potential sales opportunities, using sound judgment and appropriate urgency. Research, track, verify, and analyze operational and customer data with limited direction, and prepare accurate, timely reports for the General Manager and other NECO stakeholders. General Dispatch Obtain customer tank readings twice daily, forecast customer needs, and update dispatch plans to prevent runouts. Complete required spreadsheets and accurately update information in all designated systems. Communicate clearly, accurately, respectfully, and professionally with drivers, customers, vendors, management, Sales, Operations, and other internal departments by phone, email, and electronic systems. Electronically submit required documentation to Customs and brokers, as needed, and help coordinate border-crossing requirements. Provide drivers with complete, clear, and timely dispatch orders and updates each day to support safe, accurate, and on-time deliveries. Assist drivers with loading, delivery, unloading, and service-related issues as needed. Support Sales through responsive service, customer education, and effective problem solving. Collaborate effectively across departments, respond flexibly to NECO Operations team requests, and provide complete, accurate information to the appropriate personnel within required timeframes. Perform other related duties as assigned. Serve as the initial point of contact for driver safety concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate leader or department as needed. Minimum Qualifications Prior experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, transportation, petroleum operations, or customer service preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn and accurately use dispatch, billing, pricing, and other operational systems. Ability to consistently work the assigned schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required, and respond to time-sensitive needs during scheduled hours.
