You'll serve as the communication link between drivers, customer service representatives, and management to ensure efficient service delivery and a positive experience for both passengers and drivers. Key Responsibilities of a Dispatcher: Dispatch & Fleet Coordination Assign transportation requests based on driver availability, service demand, and operational priorities Monitor active trips and vehicle activity throughout the day Adjust assignments as needed to maintain service levels and minimize delays Coordinate transportation coverage during peak periods and special events Ensure efficient utilization of driver and vehicle resources Support on-time service performance and operational efficiency Driver Communication & Support Act as the primary point of contact for drivers during their shifts Communicate trip details, route information, and schedule updates Assist drivers with operational questions and service-related issues Provide real-time support to resolve transportation challenges Escalate urgent issues when necessary and follow through on resolution Foster productive working relationships with transportation staff Operations Monitoring Track transportation activity and service performance in real time Identify potential delays, service gaps, and operational concerns Coordinate solutions quickly to minimize service disruptions Support efficient allocation of vehicles and personnel Monitor daily productivity and route performance Help ensure a high level of customer service across the operation Customer & Team Collaboration Work closely with customer service and operations teams to address service concerns Coordinate trip modifications, cancellations, and special requests Communicate important operational updates to internal departments Support service recovery efforts when unexpected issues occur Contribute to a customer-focused and team-oriented work environment Administrative & Reporting Functions Maintain accurate dispatch records and activity logs Update scheduling and transportation software systems Document service interruptions, trip changes, and operational activity Prepare operational reports and productivity updates as requested Ensure all records are complete, accurate, and properly maintained Qualifications of a Dispatcher: Required High School Diploma or GED Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Dependable attendance and professional work ethic Preferred Experience in dispatching, transportation…
