Dispatcher and Phone Operator

Buffalo Transportation, the largest non-emergency medical transportation provider in Western New York, is seeking dedicated and organized individuals to join our team as a Dispatcher/Phone Operator. Key Responsibilities: Use company software to efficiently coordinate and dispatch drivers Use multi-line phone system to receive and place calls from drivers, passengers, and medical facilities to create, change, cancel, or inquire about passenger trips Solve problems on the fly, adjusting schedules and routes as necessary Maintain a professional and calm demeanor under pressure Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other team members using telephone, email, and electronic messaging Provide outstanding customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly Track and monitor transportation services to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs Manage daily schedules, route optimization, and handle any logistical challenges Qualifications: Experience in high call volume (over 75 calls per day) is required Prior experience in dispatching or transportation coordination is strongly preferred Experience with dispatch software or similar technology is a plus Comfort and strong background knowledge of working with computers, multi-line telephone systems, and other office equipment required Reliable and punctual attendance Strong customer service skills with a focus on maintaining professional conduct and composure at all times Excellent problem-solving abilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in your work Strong knowledge of navigating Western New York is preferred To apply, please submit your resume highlighting your relevant experience in transportation dispatching.
