Dispatcher and driver

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dispatcher and Driver to join our logistics team! Duties Coordinate and schedule vehicle dispatches using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software to optimize routes and delivery times Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams via phone calls, internal communication platforms, and email to relay instructions and updates Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to track vehicle locations, ensure safety compliance, and adjust routes as needed Manage freight shipments by verifying shipping & receiving documentation, updating data entry logs, and ensuring adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Utilize logistics tools such as Oracle Transportation Management and AS400 for transportation planning, freight management, and data analysis Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, driver logs, customer interactions, and shipment details for audit purposes Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, managing phone etiquette professionally, and resolving issues efficiently during transit or delivery Experience Proven experience in road transportation operations or logistics coordination with familiarity in transportation planning and supply chain management Hands-on knowledge of fleet management systems, transportation management systems vehicle dispatch software, and shipping & receiving procedures Strong understanding of regulations, freight handling protocols, and safety standards for road transportation Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation, reporting, and analysis tasks Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to manage phone calls professionally using proper phone etiquette Experience working with 3PL (third-party logistics providers), logistics software such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms is preferred Ability to perform data entry accurately while maintaining attention to detail; typing skills are essential for efficient record keeping Join us in delivering excellence every day!
