Dispatcher and Customer Service Representative

Full job description Buttles Custom Ag is seeking an organized, dependable Transportation & Dispatch Coordinator to help manage our daily delivery and freight operations. This position coordinates drivers, equipment, appointments, transportation paperwork, and brokered freight to ensure loads are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. Key Responsibilities - Review daily routes and ensure scheduled loads are moving according to plan. - Coordinate driver, truck, and trailer assignments. - Prepare BOLs, gate passes, and driver clipboards for upcoming routes. - Schedule and confirm pickup and delivery appointments. - Book brokered freight as needed and maintain communication with freight brokers. - Track detention fees, lumper charges, and transportation documentation. - Maintain weekly driver schedules and monitor daily route progress. - Verify drivers are properly using ELDs or completing required paper logs. - Ensure daily inspection reports, logs, receipts, signed BOLs, and other required transportation paperwork are complete. - Communicate delays, equipment issues, missed appointments, and other transportation concerns to the appropriate team members. Qualifications The ideal candidate is: - Highly organized and detail-oriented. - Comfortable managing multiple drivers and loads at the same time. - A strong communicator who can work with drivers, customers, farms, brokers, and warehouse staff. - Able to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced transportation environment. - Comfortable using computers, email, transportation software, and electronic logging systems. - Familiar with trucking, dispatch, logistics, or transportation operations. Previous dispatch, trucking, logistics, warehouse, or transportation experience is preferred. Compensation & Benefits - Hourly rate commensurate with experience Interested in Joining Our Team?
