Dispatcher (Afternoons)

Hours: 15:00 to 23:30 Monday to Friday Job Overview We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting shipping, receiving, and supply chain processes. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as TruckMate. Manage shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of goods. Communicate with carriers, drivers, and clients via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Monitor freight status, troubleshoot issues, and provide real-time updates to stakeholders. Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, deliveries, and inventory in relevant systems. Analyze transportation data to optimize routes, reduce delays, and improve overall efficiency. Collaborate with 3PL providers and internal teams to coordinate supply chain activities effectively. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and safety standards throughout the logistics process. Qualifications Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), TruckMate, or similar platforms is preferred. Strong understanding of supply chain operations, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent analysis skills for evaluating logistics data and identifying improvement opportunities. Proficiency in data entry, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems. Exceptional communication skills with professional phone etiquette. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Prior experience working with 3PL providers or in freight coordination is a plus. Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
