Dispatcher

Job Overview As a Dispatcher, you’ll coordinate vehicle movements and freight activity to keep transportation operations organized and responsive. You’ll manage incoming requests, communicate schedules and updates, and use dispatch tools to support drivers, customers, and internal teams. Your impact: Clear, timely dispatching helps drivers stay informed and enables customers and colleagues to plan around accurate shipment updates. Responsibilities Assign and track vehicles and loads using vehicle dispatch software, transportation management systems, and Global Positioning System (GPS) tools. Coordinate road transportation operations, shipping and receiving, and freight movement across supply chain and third-party logistics (3PL) activities. Manage multi-line phone systems and phone calls with professional phone etiquette; provide responsive customer service and clear internal communication. Enter and update dispatch records, schedules, and shipment details; use Microsoft Office and typing skills to maintain accurate information. Support transportation planning and fleet management; review route and status information, including Geographic Information System (GIS) data, and follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Experience Strong communication, organizational, analysis, and phone communication skills, with experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation management. Familiarity with transportation management systems; Oracle Transportation Management experience is a plus. Working knowledge of road transportation operations, freight, supply chain, and shipping and receiving is preferred. Comfort using Microsoft Office, data entry tools, GPS, and vehicle dispatch software; GIS familiarity is helpful. Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour Work Location: In person
