Dispatcher

Dispatcher Union Position POSITION DUTIES: Coordinate daily package delivery routes to establish run sheets. Help pull packages for established routes. Review delivery runs in DDS and follow up as necessary. Work with fleet manager and maintenance team to coordinate preventative maintenance on package delivery vehicles. Work with fleet manager to coordinate Bachman and rental vehicles during peak periods. Provide work direction to Drivers. Be available as the main point of contact by answering phones and responding to emails. Provide excellent internal customer service. Perform other duties and assist in other areas as assigned. Attendance is an essential function of this position. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma preferred Class B license preferred Must be accepted as insurable with Bachman’s Insurance carrier considering a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and Bachman’s Safe Driving Standards Must have 6 months dispatching experience Must have working knowledge of computer systems Able to read, write, and speak English Demonstrated ability to understand, communicate, and provide customer service to customers and other departments, including on the phone Must be able to teach and train delivery personnel Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and up to 100lbs on an occasional basis Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Scheduled Hours: Monday – Saturday, weekends during peak times Benefits: Medical Insurance Health Savings Account/PPO Dental Insurance Vision Life and AD&D Disability, Accident, Critical Illness Insurance 401(K) ID Watchdog Pet Insurance Wellness Employee Assistance Program (EAP) PTO Paid Holidays (6/year) Compensation: $24.76/hour Bachman's is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
