Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatcher to join our team and ensure the smooth coordination of transportation and logistics operations. As a key communication hub, you will manage the scheduling, tracking, and routing of freight and shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal supply chain efficiency. The Dispatcher position is a paid role dedicated to maintaining high standards of service, accuracy, and professionalism. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule pickups, deliveries, and shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software such as SyteLine or AS400. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Monitor freight movement throughout the supply chain process, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and customer requirements. Enter data accurately into shipping & receiving logs, freight management systems, and related databases to track shipment status and inventory levels. Analyze shipping data to identify delays or issues, providing solutions to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency. Manage shipping documentation including bills of lading, manifests, and delivery receipts with precision. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate freight movements and resolve logistical challenges swiftly. Skills Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), SyteLine, AS400 or similar platforms for dispatching and tracking shipments. Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight management, shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally. Skilled in data entry with high accuracy in typing and record keeping. Analytical mindset capable of assessing logistics data for process improvements. Knowledge of 3PL operations and freight industry standards. Exceptional organization skills combined with good phone etiquette to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
