Dispatcher – Transportation & Logistics Job Summary We are seeking an organized and dependable Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation operations, schedule drivers, manage deliveries, and ensure timely and efficient movement of freight. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily dispatch operations and assign routes to drivers. Schedule and monitor pickups, deliveries, and transportation activities. Communicate with drivers regarding routes, schedules, and delivery updates. Track shipments and ensure on-time deliveries. Resolve transportation delays, scheduling conflicts, and delivery issues. Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver logs, and delivery documentation. Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and transportation teams. Monitor driver availability and equipment needs. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety procedures. Provide excellent customer service and communicate shipment updates. Qualifications Previous experience in transportation dispatching, logistics, or trucking operations preferred. Knowledge of routing, scheduling, and freight transportation. Strong communication and multitasking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch software. Familiarity with DOT regulations and transportation safety requirements. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
