Responsibilities Utilize transportation management systems to schedule, track, and optimize freight movements across the supply chain. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes. Manage shipping and receiving documentation accurately through data entry and analysis skills, maintaining detailed logs for all shipments. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse staff, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and professionalism. Monitor freight status updates, troubleshoot issues promptly, and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery deadlines. Maintain proficiency in systems such as AS400 and SyteLine to support shipping operations and inventory management. Conduct analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Qualifications Proven experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) or similar logistics software. Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) operations and related technology platforms like AS400 or SyteLine. Excellent data entry skills combined with strong analysis capabilities to interpret logistical information effectively. Exceptional communication skills, including clear phone etiquette and professional interaction across multi-line phone systems. Ability to type quickly and accurately while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of shipping documentation requirements, freight regulations, and safety protocols is preferred.
