Position: DISPATCHER Revelstoke Transfers operates four (4) services: Airport Shuttle – Daily year-round connections between Revelstoke and Kelowna Airport. Resort Express Shuttle – Daily year-round shuttle service throughout the City of Revelstoke, and to/from the Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Revelstoke Transit – Daily year-round transit service throughout the City of Revelstoke. Private Transfers & Charter Service – To/from Revelstoke throughout the region. Summary Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor, Dispatchers coordinate and oversee daily transportation operations, including the supervision and scheduling of Drivers and management of the vehicle fleet, including verifying that each Driver is fit-for-duty and equipped with the necessary resources to complete their assignments successfully. Using information provided by the Dispatch Supervisor, Dispatchers prepare and manage the daily driver schedules and manifest. Dispatchers determine drivers' start times, assign vehicles, and monitor journey progress to ensure adherence to routes and scheduled. Dispatchers will promptly address any operational issues relating to passengers or vehicles, ensuring swift and effective resolution. Dispatchers are responsible for tracking and reconciling critical data collected by drivers during their routes. Dispatchers provide support for the Operations Manager, monitoring the vehicle compliance with the preventative maintenance program, ensuring all vehicles meet safety and operational standards. When issues arise, Dispatchers serve as the primary point of contact for Drivers, providing timely solutions. Success in this role is measured by seamless journeys where disruptions are minimised and passengers experience smooth, timely travel. Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage driver schedules to ensure optimal route coverage. Manage multi-channel communications, including telephone inquiries, radio transmissions, team messaging, and emails. Monitor DriveBC and other transit monitoring systems to identify and mitigate route disruptions. Provide real-time operational support to drivers in the performance of their duties. Collaborate with the reservations department to process and manage bookings within the reservation system. Maintain and update the internal knowledge base with the latest operational procedures. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of local activities, attractions, and products. Monitor driver logbooks and compliance via Geotab. Review and verify pre-trip asset inspections and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports within Geotab. Complete daily data entry tasks to maintain accurate administrative records. Adhere strictly to company policies, operational guidelines, and work instructions. Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workspace. Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills in English Competent in Microsoft Office applications Ability to manage competing priorities and workloads simultaneously Methodical attention to detail and accuracy Effective problem identification and resolution Previous experience in dispatch or customer service Valid Class 5 driver's licence Why Work at Revelstoke Transfers?
