Dispatcher

Cullman Towing & Recovery is looking for an experienced Towing Dispatcher to join our team. We are looking for someone who understands the towing and recovery industry, can manage multiple calls at once, and knows how important accurate information and communication are to a successful dispatch. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment . You will be responsible for communicating with customers, drivers, law enforcement, insurance companies, repair facilities, and other businesses while coordinating our fleet and keeping calls moving efficiently. Responsibilities Answer incoming towing and roadside assistance calls professionally and courteously Gather complete and accurate information from customers before dispatching a driver Dispatch the appropriate driver and equipment based on the type and location of the call Communicate clearly with drivers throughout the service call Monitor active calls and follow up with drivers and customers as needed Prioritize emergency, law enforcement, accident, and time-sensitive calls Enter and maintain accurate call information in the dispatch system Record customer name, phone number, location, vehicle information, payment information, service requested, and other necessary details Communicate pricing and payment requirements accurately Coordinate with law enforcement, insurance companies, repair shops, dealerships, and other commercial customers Handle multiple phone calls and dispatch requests simultaneously Keep accurate records of completed and pending calls Communicate delays, changes, or special instructions to customers and drivers Help ensure drivers have all necessary information before leaving for a call Maintain professional communication with customers, even during stressful situations Follow company dispatch procedures and safety policies Assist management with other office and dispatch duties as needed Qualifications Previous towing dispatch experience is strongly preferred Experience with a towing dispatch system such as Towbook is a plus Strong knowledge of towing and recovery terminology and equipment Excellent telephone and communication skills Strong computer and data-entry skills Ability to type and enter information accurately while handling phone calls Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple calls at the same time Strong attention to detail Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or high-pressure situations Good problem-solving and decision-making skills Dependable and punctual Professional attitude and appearance Ability to work well with drivers, customers, management, and outside agencies What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who knows towing dispatch and understands that details matter . You should be comfortable handling a busy phone, multiple dispatches, upset or stressed customers, and changing priorities throughout the day.
