Aerostream is looking for a committed, hardworking and responsible individual to join our Warehouse team as a Dispatcher on a full-time basis. The Dispatcher is responsible for working with the Dispatching Team in coordinating the company fleet from different company locations on planning daily schedules, ensuring all paperwork is ready and complete for drivers for deliveries or pickups, and communicating with customers on updates as requested. You will be involved in using multiple software programs in monitoring the operations throughout the day. You will be working with multiple departments to assist with coordination and communication, internally and externally, to ensure all requirements by customers and regulatory agencies are complied with. Being highly organized with the ability to adjust plans due to unforeseen circumstances is an important aspect of the role. As well you may be asked to assist with other tasks or projects as assigned. Job Summary: · Enter data into multiple software systems quickly and accurately · Ability to monitor various software tracking programs simultaneously · Coordinate and plan routes with truck drivers on daily delivery schedules that are either previously planned or last-minute same day requests · Plan and prepare next day routes for truck drivers · Coordinate with various internal departments on deliveries, pickups, and other requests via email, messaging systems, and phone calls · Assist with ensuring all company policies and third-party regulatory body rules are followed and adhered to · Organize, review, collect, and process all required compliance documentation · Reply to emails, messages, and phone calls in a timely manner and complete customer requests and enquiries · Check for customs release, handling procedures, and other specific requirements pertaining to shipments before dispatching trucks and drivers · Reporting on any data discrepancies to assist with improving inefficiencies · Follow quality service standards and comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations · Keep a clean and safe working environment Shift Times: 9:30am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday Possibility for overtime hours and pay as required. Required Qualifications: · Good organizational, multitasking and time management skills · Strong Knowledge of the lower mainland for efficient dispatching of drivers · Is a quick learner and able to keep up in a fast-paced environment · Able to assess stressful situations in a calm manner and make decisions based on changing information · Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, Excel, and other computer programs · Ability to effectively handle time critical issues and work under pressure with tight deadlines · Exceptional verbal and written communication skills · Fun, positive, and professional attitude · Punctual and flexible with work hours based on volume of work during busy seasons Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience Location: Richmond, BC Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week Benefits: Casual dress Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance Paid time off Vision care Experience: Trucking and Warehousing Logistics: 1 year (preferred) Truck Dispatching: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
