Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatcher to join our medical courier logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the efficient movement of freight and vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups across various locations. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, problem solving, and utilizing transportation management systems to streamline processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your organizational skills and attention to detail will make a significant impact. The schedule is 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Sunday- Tuesday and 6:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesdays. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of vehicles, drivers, and freight using vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems such as Xcelerator. Monitor driver locations and trip schedules. Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding pickups, drop-offs, and schedule changes. Communicate professionally with customers regarding transportation arrangements. Handle last-minute changes, delays, cancellations, and other transportation issues. Maintain accurate trip and driver records. Ensure drivers are following assigned schedules and routes. Report any incidents, customer concerns, or transportation issues to management. Assist with general administrative and dispatch duties as needed. Experience Proven experience in transportation planning, dispatching, or logistics coordination within a supply chain environment. Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Xcelerator or similar vehicle dispatch software. Strong knowledge of Med Center transportation operations, fleet management, shipping & receiving procedures, and medical freight handling. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) for reporting and analysis purposes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multi-line phone systems professionally and efficiently. Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and record keeping. Familiar with Medical Center deliveries. Why work for Atlas Delivery Service, a J.H.
