Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation operations efficiently. In this vital role, you will manage freight movement, communicate with drivers and customers, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations. Your proactive approach will keep our logistics running smoothly, supporting our commitment to excellent service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Coordinate and assign pickups and deliveries to drivers using vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems Communicate clearly with drivers via phone calls and internal communication channels to relay instructions and updates Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to track vehicle locations and optimize routes Manage phone call interactions with customers, carriers, and vendors with professional phone etiquette Enter accurate data into logistics systems, including shipping details, freight information, and delivery statuses Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations during dispatching processes Collaborate with the supply chain team to streamline transportation planning and improve overall logistics efficiency Experience Prior experience in road transportation operations or logistics is preferred Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or vehicle dispatch software is highly desirable Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for effective phone call management and internal coordination Knowledge of freight shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers is advantageous Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for data entry and analysis skills Understanding of DOT regulations related to vehicle dispatching and driver compliance Join us as a Dispatcher to be at the heart of our operations—driving efficiency, supporting our drivers, and ensuring our customers receive top-tier service every day!
