Duties
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and SyteLine to schedule, track, and manage freight shipments efficiently.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth dispatching of goods.
• Enter data accurately into systems such as AS400 and other shipping & receiving platforms to maintain up-to-date records.
• Communicate effectively via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette while providing clear instructions and updates.
• Monitor shipment statuses, troubleshoot delays or issues, and provide timely analysis to optimize supply chain flow.
• Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying freight details, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain detailed logs of dispatch activities, shipment movements, and incident reports for audit purposes.
Skills
• Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), SyteLine, and AS400 platforms.
• Strong understanding of supply chain operations, freight logistics, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers.
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analysis skills to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with carriers, drivers, warehouse staff, and internal teams.
• Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and documentation requirements.
• Ability to operate multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy.
• Basic typing skills for quick data entry; familiarity with shipping software is a plus.
