Dispatcher / Routing Coordinator – Snyder Events Location: North Charleston, SC Job Type: Full-Time Hourly Pay: Compensation & Benefits Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience) Overtime: Paid at 1.5× your regular hourly rate Night Shift Differential: Earn an additional 25% per hour for all hours worked after 8:00 PM About Us Snyder Events is a locally founded, owned, and operated small business in the party rental industry based in North Charleston, SC. Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Operations Lead to support daily operations by managing driver routes, coordinating logistics, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This role is critical to maintaining efficiency, controlling operational costs, and ensuring on-time delivery and pickup of rental equipment. You will work closely with internal teams, drivers, clients, and venue personnel to keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Plan and optimize delivery and pickup routes based on time windows, driver availability, and cost efficiency Dispatch and manage up to 20 drivers and 50 driver helpers daily Assign drivers to routes based on skill level, equipment, and venue requirements Monitor and adjust routes in real-time to meet delivery deadlines Track route execution using the Descartes routing system Coordinate urgent “go-back” orders to fulfill client needs Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, venues, and internal departments Troubleshoot delivery/pickup issues, including shortages or scheduling conflicts Oversee vehicle maintenance needs and ensure timely service coordination Manage company assets including keys, tools, and equipment Check in drivers at the end of routes (paperwork, cleanliness, inspections) Monitor labor hours and ensure efficiency Ensure compliance with South Carolina DOT regulations Note: Hands-on field training will be required Qualifications Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Previous experience in routing and dispatching preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Ability to work independently and as part of a team High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver’s License required Benefits Health, Dental, and Prescription Insurance Vision Insurance Short-Term Disability Life Insurance Simple IRA with Company Match Paid Vacation (after first year) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Experience: Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
