Role Description The Dispatch Manager role at Glyde Transportation LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Anaheim, CA. The Dispatch Manager oversees daily dispatch operations, including scheduling drivers, assigning routes, and monitoring trip progress to ensure on-time performance. This role manages communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams, responds to service issues, and adjusts plans in real time to maintain smooth operations. The Dispatch Manager tracks loads, updates systems and records, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities also include analyzing route efficiency, supporting driver onboarding and guidance, preparing basic reports, and contributing to continuous improvement of dispatch processes. Qualifications Experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or fleet coordination, with the ability to manage schedules and routes in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including prioritizing multiple tasks, maintaining accurate records, and following standardized procedures. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and internal staff, both in person and over phone or digital channels. Comfort with using dispatch or routing software, basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets), and learning new systems as needed. Problem-solving skills, including the ability to make sound decisions under time pressure and adapt plans when unexpected issues arise. Knowledge of transportation safety practices and relevant regulations is preferred; prior experience in the Anaheim or Southern California market is a plus. Ability to work on-site in Anaheim, CA, with reliability in attendance, and willingness to work occasional extended hours or different shifts based on operational needs. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics, transportation, or business are beneficial.
