You’re constantly balancing customer needs, driver availability, locations, timing, and unexpected problems — all while keeping things moving.At Oregon Taxi, our dispatchers play a critical role in connecting people with the transportation they need. You’ll be part of the team that keeps our drivers moving efficiently and makes sure our customers get where they need to go. What You'll Do Answer incoming customer calls and accurately enter trip information into our dispatch system. Monitor and coordinate drivers throughout the Eugene/Springfield area. Use telephones, two-way radios, messaging, and dispatch software to communicate with drivers. Match trips with available drivers while considering location, timing, and overall system efficiency. Communicate with customers, drivers, and supervisors to resolve problems and find solutions. Manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Keep accurate records of customer requests, completed trips, and other dispatch information. Relay important information quickly and accurately between customers, drivers, and other team members. Provide professional, respectful customer service — even when situations become challenging. Help identify and resolve issues before they become larger problems. Ability to pass a drug screening, including marijuana, where required by company policy. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn dispatch software. Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers, drivers, and coworkers. WPM of 40-50+ (50+ preferred) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with the Eugene/Springfield area is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous customer service experience is preferred No major disqualifying criminal convictions.
