Role Description The Dispatch Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Venice, FL. This position is responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers, assigning loads, and monitoring routes to ensure timely and secure delivery of shipments. Daily activities include communicating with drivers and customers, updating dispatch and load information in internal systems, and resolving issues related to schedules, routing, or service disruptions. The Dispatch Coordinator also manages data entry related to shipment details, tracks load status, and collaborates with operations and customer service teams to maintain compliance with company procedures and industry standards. The role requires consistent attention to detail, effective prioritization of tasks, and proactive support of drivers and customers throughout each shipment. Qualifications Candidates should possess dispatching experience and an understanding of route planning and load coordination. Candidates should possess strong communication and customer service skills for interacting with drivers, clients, and internal teams. Candidates should possess skilled multi-tasker abilities to manage multiple shipments, schedules, and priorities simultaneously. Candidates should possess accurate data entry skills and comfort working with transportation management or logistics software. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in logistics or transportation, knowledge of temperature-controlled or high-value freight, and familiarity with compliance and safety standards. Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and reliability in an on-site operational environment are highly valued. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain are a plus.
