Role Description The Dispatch Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers, coordinating routes, and ensuring timely pick-ups and deliveries. Day-to-day tasks include communicating with drivers and customers, updating dispatch systems, entering trip and shipment information, and monitoring schedules to address delays or issues. The Dispatch Coordinator will respond to customer inquiries, resolve service problems, and collaborate with operations staff to improve efficiency and service quality. This role requires consistent follow-up, accurate recordkeeping, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and courteous approach. Qualifications Dispatching and route coordination skills, with experience managing driver schedules and loads. Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams. Skilled Multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle time-sensitive situations. Accurate Data Entry skills, including proficiency with dispatch software and basic computer applications. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills for addressing service issues and operational challenges. Ability to work on-site full time in the Detroit Metropolitan Area and maintain reliability and punctuality. Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatch is preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or coursework in logistics or business is a plus.
