Contractors DisposalJob Overview We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Dispatch and Operations Coordinator to support the daily operations of our roll-off dumpster business. This key role serves as the central point of communication between customers, drivers, and management, ensuring smooth scheduling, efficient routing, and timely service. You will play a critical role in keeping our fleet running, our customers informed, and our day-to-day operations organized and on track. Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate daily dispatch for roll-off dumpster deliveries, swaps, and pickups. Answer incoming phone calls, take customer orders, provide pricing and availability, and resolve service inquiries professionally. Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding routes, job changes, delays, and special instructions. Monitor truck locations using GPS systems and adjust schedules as needed for efficiency. Track fleet availability, container inventory, and yard organization. Maintain accurate records for work orders, tickets, customer accounts, and service logs. Assist with invoicing support, documentation, and data entry as needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards, DOT requirements, and company procedures. Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to routing, scheduling, and workflow. Support management with general administrative and operational tasks as needed. Requirements Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, fleet coordination, or operations (preferred). Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, especially on the phone with customers and drivers. Comfort using dispatch software, GPS tracking tools, and basic computer systems. High attention to detail for scheduling, documentation, and recordkeeping. Ability to stay calm and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of trucking, equipment, or construction-related operations (a plus). Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
