Director of Supply Chain Management Location: Remote – United States Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Supply Chain / Operations Reports To: Vice President of Operations / Chief Operating Officer About the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Supply Chain Management to lead the company’s supply chain operations and develop efficient, reliable, and scalable processes across planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier management. The Director of Supply Chain Management will oversee the end-to-end supply chain function and work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Sales, Product, Quality, and other business teams to ensure products, materials, and resources are available when needed while maintaining appropriate cost and service levels. This role requires strong operational judgment, analytical capability, supplier management experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-moving business environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the company’s supply chain strategy in alignment with business and operational objectives. Lead supply chain planning, procurement coordination, inventory management, logistics, distribution, and supplier performance activities. Develop effective demand and supply planning processes to support business requirements. Monitor inventory levels, product availability, lead times, and supply requirements. Establish appropriate inventory planning and replenishment practices. Partner with Purchasing and Procurement teams to evaluate suppliers, sourcing strategies, pricing, and purchasing requirements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, logistics providers, and other strategic partners. Monitor supplier performance related to quality, cost, capacity, delivery, and service. Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct regular business reviews. Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reliability, and cost management. Develop and maintain supply chain policies, procedures, workflows, and operating standards. Monitor transportation, warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment activities as applicable. Work with internal teams to improve order fulfillment, inventory availability, and delivery performance. Analyze supply chain costs and identify opportunities for improved resource utilization and operational efficiency. Partner with Finance to develop supply chain budgets, forecasts, cost analyses, and working capital plans. Identify supply risks, capacity constraints, supplier issues, and potential disruptions. Develop practical contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies when appropriate. Establish supply chain KPIs and provide regular performance reports to senior leadership. Use data and analytics to identify trends, evaluate performance, and support operational decisions. Support the implementation and improvement of ERP, planning, inventory, procurement, warehouse, and logistics systems. Lead supply chain improvement and process optimization initiatives. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to address supplier quality issues and improve supplier performance. Collaborate with Operations and other functional leaders on business planning and capacity requirements. Manage and develop supply chain professionals while establishing clear priorities, expectations, and performance standards. Promote consistent processes, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the supply chain organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field. 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, operations, or a related discipline. 3+ years of experience managing supply chain teams or significant supply chain functions.
