Director, Supply Chain Center of Expertise (COE)

Job Overview The Director, Supply Chain Center of Expertise (COE) will lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide continuous improvement strategies across Bob's end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase productivity, enhance service, and establish scalable processes across Distribution Centers, transportation, logistics, replenishment, inventory, and delivery operations. As a strategic and collaborative leader, you'll leverage operational expertise, data-driven insights, and proven continuous improvement methodologies to develop and execute high-impact initiatives. You'll partner with cross-functional leaders, build organizational capabilities, and drive sustainable improvements that support Bob's continued growth. This role operates across corporate and supply chain environments, with periodic travel to Distribution Centers and other operating locations. We are open to the right person being primarily remote. Supply Chain Operations Expertise: Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including Distribution Center operations, transportation, inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, replenishment, and final-mile delivery. Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, business process reengineering, value-stream mapping, and structured problem-solving methodologies to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and improve operational performance. Program & Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from opportunity identification and business-case development through implementation, adoption, and measurable results. Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret operational data, evaluate processes, identify root causes, and develop practical, sustainable solutions to complex business challenges. Financial Acumen & Business Impact: Strong capability in developing business cases, evaluating return on investment, measuring productivity improvements, and validating cost savings and other financial benefits in partnership with Finance. Performance Management & KPI Development: Ability to establish meaningful performance measures, benchmarks, targets, reporting processes, and accountability practices that drive continuous improvement. Process Design & Standardization: Expertise in documenting current-state processes, developing future-state workflows, establishing standard work, and implementing sustainable operating practices across multiple locations. Technology & Automation: Ability to identify opportunities to leverage technology, systems, automation, and reporting enhancements to improve efficiency, productivity, and operational visibility.
