Supply Chain Management Overview

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for effectively managing and planning all aspects of forecasting, distribution, consumer service, and logistics functions. These duties play a critical role in ensuring effective operations and maintaining customer satisfaction across both the Casablanca and Hunter divisions.

Key Functions

Oversee and execute comprehensive forecasting strategies to ensure accurate demand planning for both divisions.

Manage distribution operations to facilitate timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.

Coordinate consumer service activities, ensuring high-quality support and responsiveness for all customer inquiries and needs.

Direct logistics processes to optimize the movement and storage of goods across the supply chain.

Team and Vendor Oversight

Provide leadership to staff members responsible for forecasting, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational requirements.

Manage third-party relationships with distribution, logistics, and consumer service vendors to maintain service standards and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Direct and oversee the company's Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to ensure effective coordination between sales, operations, finance, and supply chain.

Develop and present the annual forecast, supporting corporate financial objectives for sales and inventory management.

Prepare the annual budgets for logistics and distribution and provide ongoing monthly management to ensure financial targets are met.

Oversee customer and macro-level forecasting with a focus on improving accuracy and standardizing processes for greater efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support supply chain operations and resolve related issues.

Manage vendor relationships to ensure that service standards, cost objectives, and operational efficiency goals are consistently achieved.

Lead and develop the team, fostering professional growth and maintaining high performance standards.

Provide strategic direction for supply chain initiatives to support business objectives and operational improvement.

Develop, execute, and revise the strategic plans to address changing business requirements, launch new initiatives, and work closely with both internal and external supply chain partners.

Education and Experience Requirements

BA is required for this role, while a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates must have at least ten years of relevant experience in forecasting, logistics, or similar supply chain methodologies. This educational background or equivalent work experience is essential for successfully managing the demands of the role.

Leadership and Communication Skills

Strong, proven leadership abilities are required to guide teams and foster high performance. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration and convey information clearly within the organization.

Analytical and Decision-Making Skills

The role calls for outstanding analytical skills, including the capability to decipher and evaluate data for making informed judgment calls and planning decisions that best serve the company.

Technical Proficiency

Proficiency with the Microsoft business suite is necessary for handling daily business operations. Candidates must also have a thorough understanding of technologies currently available for planning, managing, and analyzing supply chain activities.
