Director Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management Active

Required Skills & Experience • 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or related functions. • Proven experience building or transforming procurement/sourcing functions. • Strong background managing technology spend (software, cloud, hardware, infrastructure, etc.). • Experience negotiating contracts with major technology vendors, OEMs, and distributors. • Knowledge of software licensing, subscription models, and consumption-based pricing. • Track record of leading complex, high-value contract negotiations and delivering measurable savings. • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including cost, margin, and savings analysis. • Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills. Nice to Have Skills & Experience • Experience in private equity-backed organizations. • Background with managed services, IT services, or technology resellers. • Knowledge of MSP tools, cybersecurity, cloud, and service management platforms. • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and vendor consolidation. • Exposure to contingent workforce, facilities, logistics, or other indirect spend categories. • Experience supporting professional services, legal, or client-facing organizations. Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Director of Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management to join a lead professional services client on a full time basis. This role is responsible for building and leading the enterprise sourcing and procurement function, overseeing vendor management, contract negotiations, technology and managed services spend, licensing economics, and supplier relationships. The individual will drive cost savings, margin improvement, vendor consolidation, and procurement strategy across the organization, while partnering with Finance and executive leadership to optimize purchasing, support client resale programs, manage business services spend, and lead sourcing integration activities related to acquisitions and post-merger consolidation.
