Director of Supply Chain, Hazardous Materials
JMI Recruiting Services, LLCWe are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Director of Supply Chain, Hazardous Materials search. This is a remote position. However, candidates should be based in Northern Ohio, the North Texas area, or Southern Michigan. Responsibilities : Design and lead the global supply chain, strategic sourcing and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) capability. Integrate demand, supply, inventory and third-party spend to secure critical supply, improve service, optimise inventory and working capital, reduce total cost, and support better commercial and operational decisions. Oversee key spend categories. Work across regional Operations, Purchasing, Commercial and Finance teams to establish common governance, data standards, category strategies and performance measures. Enable effective regional execution through a global matrix structure. Hold accountability for Group strategy, governance, performance and capability, while regional teams retain day-to-day execution. Key Requirements : Extensive senior leadership experience in strategic sourcing, procurement and supply chain planning within complex, multi-region organisations. Demonstrated success designing or significantly improving S&OP/SIOP processes. Proven ability to deliver measurable value across direct and indirect spend categories. Strong commercial, negotiation and financial analysis skills. Experience leading enterprise-wide change in a matrix organisation. Strong understanding of supplier risk, logistics, inventory management and supply continuity. Experience using ERP, CRM, planning and spend analytics data to inform decisions.
