Summary The Director of Supply Chain provides strategic leadership and multi-site ownership of the Materials function across the Company’s two Oregon facilities, located in Tualatin, OR and Albany, OR. This role directs and controls the movement of materials into and within both plants, and owns the key materials-related functions of Purchasing, Production Planning and Expediting, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control at each site. The Director of Supply Chain serves as the senior materials leader for the two-facility network, setting unified strategy and standards while directly managing and developing each site’s Materials Managers and/or supervisors. Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Materials organization at both the Tualatin and Albany facilities, including setting and monitoring performance standards, quality standards, and ISO/AS9100D compliance across both sites. Directly manage the performance evaluation and development of the Materials Managers and/or supervisors at each facility who oversee the stockroom, shipping, receiving, purchasing, planning, and shop floor expediting functions. Make final decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, equipment/software requirements, and work procedures across both facilities, in cooperation with site and executive leadership. Balance and coordinate workload, staffing, and resource allocation across the Materials organizations at both sites, sharing capacity and best practices between facilities as needed. Own end-to-end material planning strategy across both plants, ensuring on-time shipments and excellent customer satisfaction company-wide. Manage combined purchased material inventory across both sites to support master production schedules, inventory objectives, and customer service levels. Develop and execute short- and long-term supply chain management strategies spanning both facilities, in alignment with overall company objectives. Drive continuous improvement across purchasing management processes, Supplier Risk Management, and Vendor Data Management for both sites. Maintain and facilitate accurate control and accountability of inventory at both facilities. Lead Excess & Obsolete inventory data reporting, disposition, withdrawal, and disposal processes across both sites, coordinating with Procurement, Account Managers, and Finance as appropriate. Develop and implement a unified material logistics strategy that optimizes the storage and flow of purchased and fabricated materials across both facilities, including inter-site logistics where applicable. Own supply chain performance across both sites, including quality, cost, and on-time delivery, and report results to executive leadership. Standardize, implement, and continuously improve MRP functions and rules across both facilities’ systems, driving usage, accuracy, compliance, and integration into each manufacturing process. Provide governance, guidance, and support for the MRP database(s) and their users at both facilities. Ensure that standard inventory control techniques and procedures are developed, harmonized, and implemented consistently across both sites. Plan, coordinate, and oversee the performance of physical inventory and/or cycle counting programs at both facilities as required to meet fiscal reporting requirements. Present strategic recommendations to executive and senior management on process and methodology improvements across the two-facility network, with a constant focus on continuous improvement.
