Position Overview Dr. Diamond’s Metacine is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sourcing and Procurement to help support our business growth by driving successful new product launches (optimizing costs, lead times, and MOQs), executing robust supply planning, and managing procurement execution. Blending a strong upstream strategic focus on new product introduction with hands-on replenishment and purchasing execution for ongoing reorders, optimizing order sizes to enhance cost efficiency while preventing stockouts or excess inventory, you will spearhead supplier partnerships, manage contract manufacturing relationships, and optimize primary and secondary packaging costs. You will own the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, from initial sourcing and PO issuance through inbound delivery and inventory availability. Key Responsibilities Upstream Strategic Sourcing and Newness Negotiation: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives with a heavy focus on new product development, negotiating competitive pricing, payment terms, and optimized Minimum Order Quantities for primary and secondary packaging, and contract manufacturing. Supply Planning Execution Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply plans, optimizing supply planning to support aggressive growth, prevent costly stockouts, and optimize working capital, while executing material netting and inventory replenishment strategies. End-to-End NPI and Reorder PO Lifecycle Management: Own the complete purchase order lifecycle from creation to final delivery, driving upstream NPI timelines while executing downstream tactical reorders to maintain optimal inventory levels. Supplier Contract and Relationship Management: In collaboration with legal, PD, Packaging, design and execute comprehensive vendor and contract manufacturer agreements, securing committed lead times, favorable payment terms, quality SLAs, and risk-mitigation clauses. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Development and Packaging to align component discovery, technical drawing sign-offs, and delivery milestones with critical path launch schedules. Key Qualifications & Requirements 8+ years of progressive experience spanning upstream strategic sourcing, commercial procurement, supply planning, and downstream inventory management, ideally within the luxury skincare, beauty, or consumer packaged goods sectors. Proven track record of successfully negotiating complex contract manufacturing and packaging agreements, tiered volume pricing, MOQs, and lead-time reductions. Deep familiarity with ERP inventory systems (such as Katana Cloud Inventory or similar), MRP/supply planning workflows, PO lifecycle tracking, and inbound logistics. Strong data-driven mindset for cost modeling, variance analysis, and budget optimization. Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills to drive alignment across product development, internal stakeholders, and external manufacturing partners.
