Job Title: Director of Housing Operations
Reports To: Regional Vice President
Location: University of Massachusetts - Boston Campus
Compensation: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year and a comprehensive benefits package
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Director of Housing Operations is the overall management of the operations of a residence hall community. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, fiscal oversight; rent collection and summer revenue, interpretation and enforcement of license policies; license plans development, implementation, and oversight; facility oversight; summer conference housing, and supervision of employees. The Director of Housing Operations will work in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Boston, who will be responsible for providing a residence life program for the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the areas of Maintenance and Operations. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Work Hours
In addition to a regular work schedule (shadow University offices), this position requires some night and weekend activities. The Director of Housing Operations is always available by cell phone unless arrangements are made with a supervisor. The Director must live within a predictable 30 minutes of the residential community.
