What You’ll Do
The Director of Engineering will lead our Platform and Cloud Operations organization, with a strong focus on DevOps transformation, CI/CD, observability, and secure operations. This leader will drive the evolution from traditional release and operations models to a modern, automated, and highly observable platform—enabling faster delivery, improved reliability, and scalable growth across our Azure-based environment. Experience with AWS is strongly preferred to support ongoing migration efforts from acquired platforms into Azure.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the transformation to CI/CD and continuous delivery, moving away from legacy release cycles.
- Establish scalable build, test, and deployment pipelines across all engineering teams.
- Standardize engineering practices to improve deployment frequency, lead time, and release quality.
- Drive a culture of automation, reducing manual processes and operational toil.
- Build and scale observability capabilities (monitoring, logging, tracing) across the platform.
- Define and operationalize SLOs/SLAs, alerting, and incident response practices.
- Improve system reliability, performance, and resilience under load.
- Own and evolve cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure.
- Drive infrastructure-as-code, environment standardization, and platform scalability.
- Lead performance optimization and cloud cost efficiency initiatives.
- Lead migration of acquired AWS environments into Azure, ensuring minimal disruption, performance parity, and cost optimization.
- Define and execute a clear AWS-to-Azure migration strategy, including architecture alignment, tooling, and decommissioning of legacy AWS infrastructure.
- Build and lead high-performing platform, DevOps, SRE, and SecOps teams.
